Ride the Games

Why not take in the sights of Greenwich with our Ride the Games cycle route?

The ride links the three main venues in the borough that will host events at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Where does the route go?

The route starts at Firepower, taking you through Woolwich and Charlton. It then continues along the Thames Cycle Path finishing in the heart of the Maritime World Heritage Centre at Greenwich Park.

The route is 8 miles (12.8km) long. Most of the route is flat, but there is a steep hill in Charlton.

We want your views

Some sections of the route are being improved and developed, especially in the East Greenwich area.

Please take a look at the map and let us have your comments on how we could make improvements. Contact details are on the right.

View riding instructions and download the map.

You can get a free full-colour guide to the route from the Greenwich Tourist Information Centre. It also available in local libraries and leisure centres or by calling 020 8921 6474.
