Strategies and plans
Housing
The purpose of these strategies is to define the Council's aims and visions for residential housing in the borough.
Housing Strategy
The Council is working in partnership with neighbouring boroughs to develop a better understanding of housing needs across
South East London
.
Homelessness
The
Homelessness Strategy
and
Review
provide guidance on tackling homelessness in the borough.
The Homelessness Strategy is accompanied by an
Action Plan
that contains 97 Actions. The Council has made real headway in implementing the Action plan and has so far successfully completed 60% of the Actions and is in the process of implementing another 23%.
The Council is in the process of developing a new Action Plan in consultation with the Homelessness Forum, our partners and key stakeholders. To participate in this process, please contact Gill Ackrill on 020 8921 5630.
Private Sector
There are schemes available to assist private sector home owners and landlords to repair or adapt their homes. One of the aims of the
Private Sector Renewal Policy
is to bring empty properties back into occupancy.
Anti-social behaviour
The
anti-social behaviour policy statement
lists the actions that Greenwich Council takes to tackle anti-social behaviour in its role as a social landlord.
