Join the Mayor of Greenwich, Councillor Steve Offord, in a Remembrance Day tribute to honour all war heroes in the borough who have fought in battles past and present.
The Council will observe two minutes silence on Armistice Day, Tuesday 11 November, at 11am -the time the guns fell silent to end the First World War.
The Mayor will lead the silence from Woolwich Town Hall with other elected members, faith leaders and council staff, in memory of all who have fought and died, or been injured in the cause of peace and freedom.
Members of the public are very welcome to attend.

Poignant occasion
The Mayor of Greenwich, Councillor Steve Offord, said: "We are proud to mark this poignant occasion here in Greenwich, where we remember our servicemen and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, or have been injured fighting for our freedom.
"We pay tribute to those serving in the present day, in particular to those servicemen and women based here in the borough at the Woolwich Barracks.
"Residents of this Borough, especially the older generation, remember and value the deep historical military links we have here and the tens of thousands of men and women who served their country working at the Royal Artillery."
