Adult Learners’ Week

Woman with pencil Feed your mind: Adult Learners' Week
If you're thinking of expanding your horizons, there will be a wide range of learning opportunities available during Adult Learners’ Week, running from Saturday 17 until Friday 23 May.

The annual event is the UK’s biggest festival of learning, and this year’s lively line-up launches with a Cultural Diversity Day at the Council’s Great Get Together in Sutcliffe Park, Eltham, on Saturday 17 May.

You will be able to talk to professionals about what opportunities are out there, meet tutors from colleges and check out IT in the UK-online bus.

Find out about the Great Get Together.

Throughout the week you will be able to learn about a variety of topics such as nail art, childminding, computing and jewellery design.

Great opportunity

Councillor Denise Hyland, Greenwich Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said:

"Adult Learners Week is a great opportunity for adults to find out the huge range of learning opportunities that are available in Greenwich. It is the UK’s biggest celebration of learning and helps show people that it’s never too late to learn, and that learning can be enjoyable and can be an important step in gaining skills leading to new employment opportunities."
