Make Fairtrade your habit for Fairtrade Fortnight 2007

Man with bananas
Have you heard about Fairtrade? Fairtrade  guarantees better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
By supporting Fairtrade products you will be helping tens of thousands of small farmers in poor countries build a better life for themselves, their families and communities.

With over 2000 certified products now available, it’s easier than ever to change what you eat, drink and wear to Fairtrade.

Fairtrade fortnight

Fairtrade products are already available at a number of retail and catering outlets, local workplaces, schools and community organisations across the borough.

We would like to encourage more organisations to support the initiative. During Fairtrade Fortnight from 26 February to 11 March, we will be organising various events to promote Fairtrade products.

Are you planning a Fairtrade event?

We would like to hear from other local businesses or groups who are planning celebrations during the fortnight.

If you are planning an event, or have recently started to stock Fairtrade products, please let us know so we can help you promote your work. You can contact us using the details on the right.
