Congratulations!
Councillor Jackie Smith, Greenwich Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services is delighted at the news and said:
"Well done to all those pupil and teachers who have worked really hard to make this year’s results the best ever. I’m particularly pleased to see that our pupils have beaten the national average score and results have improved consistently over the last 3 years.
"Our huge investment in high quality teaching and first class facilities is clearly paying dividends. We want our young people to achieve in Greenwich so that they can progress towards higher education, training and employment.
"This great news forms part of a revolution in post-16 education in Greenwich, which has seen the numbers of students choosing to study in the borough increase by 92% since 2001.
"Congratulations to everyone who has played a part in these results and I wish all our pupils the very best of luck for the future."
