Training road shows
Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB) are holding a series of training road shows to prepare local people for the jobs.
The first takes place this Tuesday at Charlton House from 10.30am - 7.30pm. Contact GLLaB to book your place - details are on the right.
Road shows then continue over the coming months at a variety of venues across the borough.
View a full list of road show dates and locations.
What will happen at the road shows?
You will be able to see a film all about AEG Europe - the developers and operators of The O2 - and gain some valuable background. You will also have an interview with a GLLaB advisor.
If you get through this preliminary interview you will then be put forward for a training course where you will learn skills such as:
- customer service for the hospitality industry
- health and safety
- equality and diversity
- teamwork skills.
This training is designed to help you prepare for the formal AEG job interviews that will happen later. If you pass the course, you will be awarded a certificate of competence and fast-tracked toward the job opportunities as they are advertised.
