Fuelling imagination
Councillor Jackie Smith, Greenwich Council’s Cabinet member for Children and Young People’s Services, said,
"The National Book Week scheme is a really good way for young people to experience some of the different ways there are of enjoying reading, which is great because reading is an invaluable part of children’s development that helps to fuel their imaginations and help them achieve academically."
