Want to know about local attractions? Come along to East London week at the Greenwich Tourist Information Centre until Sunday 6 August.

Free activities

You'll be able to pick up lots of information on the many attractions and adventures that await you in East London.

All sorts of free activities have been organised to tempt locals to see what is on their doorstep this summer including:

  • Amazing tales of the high seas with stories from colourful characters from the National Maritime Museum and Museum in Docklands.

  • Pirates telling swash-buckling stories of ship wrecks and buried treasure at Ottakar’s bookstore.

  • "Man overboard on the Cutty Sark!" He will drown if you don’t help find him - eek!

  • Children's badge and finger-puppet making workshop at Lee Valley Park.

  • Medieval mead and banquet served by the head chef of the Four Seasons Hotel.

  • Free walks around Greenwich and East London with Greenwich Guides and the Association of Professional Tour Guides.

  • Daily prize draws to win fantastic prizes including tickets for the London Dungeon, Tower Bridge Exhibition and City Cruises.
