New magazine for young people

Boy and girl pulling tongues
If you're one of Woolwich's younger residents, our new magazine ‘Happening 4 You’ will let you know all about activities and services that are available on your doorstep.

What's it all about?

The magazine gives an A-Z of organisations that provide different youth activities in the Woolwich area.

This includes:

  • the Get Real Outreach Project that listens to what young people want to do in the form of group discussions

  • StreetGames with Charlton Athletic Race Equality (CARE) where young people can train to be volunteer sports coaches, in basketball, football and much more.

How can I get a copy?

The magazine will be delivered to every home in Woolwich.

You can also pick it up from local libraries and community centres.

To request a copy or get more information, call us on 020 8921 6916.

Lots of things to do

Councillor Peter Kotz, said:

"The idea of this magazine is to show young people what is available to them in their area, both in terms of services they might find useful and places they can socialise.

"Whether it is playing football, learning dance or trying their hand as a DJ, there are lots of interesting things for young people to do in their spare time. Hopefully this magazine will be an easy-to-use way for them to find out what is out there for them."
