Fancy an exclusive trip to Charlton Athletic Football Club?
We are running a competition to give one young resident the chance to visit the club and be a Charlton Mascot.
The trip will take place on Saturday 13 January when Charlton take on Middlesbrough.
Who can enter?
Anyone up to the age of 15 can enter.
What do I have to do?
We want you to write us 40-50 words on why you think the 2012 Olympic Games will be great for Greenwich.
Visit our London 2012 section to get some inspiration, then email your entry to: greenwich.time@greenwich.gov.uk by Friday 3 January.
Please remember to include your age and contact details.
The competition is only open to young people who live in the borough of Greenwich.
What does the prize include?
Along with your trip to CAFC, you will also get:
- a full replica Charlton kit
- the chance to meet all the Charlton players in CAFC dressing room
- two adult and one junior mascot tickets for the North West Stand
- an arrival pack including mascot medal, autograph book, certificate and matchday programme
- souvenir photo with the two club captains in the centre circle
- warm-up session on Charlton’s pitch with the players.
Great opportunity
Councillor John Fahy, Greenwich Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture and Olympics, said,
"This competition is not only a great opportunity for one Greenwich child to enjoy a fantastic day out at Charlton Athletic, but more than this, it will give the Council the chance to find out from the young people of the borough what they’re most looking forward to about the 2012 Olympic Games coming to Greenwich."
