Blackheath
Less than two miles south of Central Greenwich is Blackheath, where you'll find a charming village next to the beautiful wide open space of the heath itself.
Blackheath is also very close to Greenwich, Woolwich, Charlton and Eltham, where you'll find many of the borough's attractions, including:
Woolwich
Home to the Royal Arsenal and Firepower! the Royal Artillery Museum, Woolwich has a long and rich history.
The town centre is currently being regenerated and a new Docklands Light Rail (DLR) station will open in 2009.
Woolwich town centre is easily accessible by train or bus and also benefits from the fast Thames Clipper river service which runs to Greenwich, The O2, and the centre of London.
Some attractions include:
Eltham
Located in the southern half of the borough, Eltham is where you'll find Eltham Palace, a royal winter home in the 14th and 15th centuries.
Eltham is also home to the Bob Hope Theatre.
Rotherhithe
While not in the borough of Greenwich, Rotherhithe is not far off either, west of Greenwich and slightly nearer to Central London.
