The Ahoy Centre has an Equal Opportunity and Child Protection policy, and caters for disabled people.

It has various qualified sports coaches, 30-plus unqualified helpers/coaches and two specific coaches for a junior section.

Non-members can hire a function room.

Greenwich Yacht Club meets on Tuesday evenings 8pm to 11pm; new members are welcome. Club boating activity takes place during weekends but members are free to use the facilities every day. Club bar is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

The Greenwich Yacht Club also offers motorboating and rowing.

The club has a full programme of cruiser and dinghy racing in both winter and summer, according to Royal Yachting Association rules.There is also social sailing. Members without their own boats are encouraged to crew in races to gain experience. The club also has its own navigation school for onshore qualifications.

Facilities for hire: the club has a slipway for launching and recovering boats and equipment for taking cruisers in and out of water. Qualified dinghy sailors who are members can also hire dinghies for a small fee. The club has extensive well-equipped workshops.

The club is open to men and women, has an Equal Opportunity and Child Protection policy, and caters for disabled people. It has three qualified sports coaches and all members are helpers.
