Netball

Born of a misunderstanding, netball has grown to become a popular women's sport played all over the world.

In netball, players are limited to one or more 'zones' depending on the position they play.

This idea came about thanks to a schoolteacher who thought the dividing court lines pencilled into the original basketball rules were meant to keep players within the areas!
