Greenwich Village market

Greenwich Village market has been running for nearly twenty years. It sells an eclectic mix of antiques and collectables, as well as general goods and organic vegetables and flowers.

A vintage treasure-trove

The market is a maze of unusual and funky stalls, so come prepared to find anything, from an Art Nouveau chair to a '50s Dior cocktail dress.

A huge fairground Geisha doll leads the way to the bottle shop, where you'll discover a curious clutter of antique bottles and tins.

Unusual bargains

Among the crowds you’ll find tourists vying with locals to track down unusual bargains, and set designers competing with film companies to provide that original prop.

If you're into kitsch or camp, or simply love rummaging through racks of vintage clothes, then this unusual market is definitely worth a visit.

How to get here

Take the train from Charing Cross or the Docklands Light Railway to Cutty Sark Gardens or Greenwich and head for Greenwich Village market, opposite the Ibis Hotel in Stockwell Street.

Another way to enhance your excursion is to take a boat on the Thames, departing from Embankment and Westminster Piers.
