Forget the usual stress of high street shopping and visit Greenwich Market for a unique shopping experience. A visit to this covered market (granted a Royal Charter in 1700) is a highlight of any trip to Greenwich.

Royal Charter

The Royal Charter was granted on 19 December 1700 to last for 1,000 years. It was reinforced by an Act of Parliament in 1849, which gave more control to Greenwich Hospital.
