Making a loan or donation

Do you have an item that reflects the history and heritage of the borough of Greenwich? Why not loan, donate or bequeath it to the Heritage Centre?

How you can help

We take occasional loans of private items for specific temporary exhibitions, and also donated items for our permanent collections.

Your loan or donation will help centre visitors understand Greenwich's past better.

If you are interested in donating or lending an item to the Heritage Centre, please contact us on

Protecting loan items

The Heritage Centre takes the same care and precaution to protect items in its custody, as it does for those in its permanent collection.

This promise is made on a "museum object entry form" when you hand the item over to the Heritage Centre, a fully registered museum by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.
