By car
If you're coming from the west, north or south, first get to Woolwich High Street.
From the west (and north) to Woolwich High Street
From the Blackwall Tunnel (A12/A102) take the A206 to Woolwich. When you reach the Woolwich Ferry roundabout, go straight across (A206 sign-posted for Plumstead), and along Woolwich High Street.
From the south to Woolwich High Street
Take the A205 to Woolwich Ferry roundabout and turn right into Woolwich High Street (A206).
From Woolwich High Street to the car park
Go straight across Woolwich High Street to the next roundabout (A206 Beresford Street). After a few hundred metres on the left, the Royal Arsenal site begins. Take the slip road off Plumstead Road (A206) on the left into Arsenal Way (width restriction applies) and left into the Town Centre car park (pay-and-display).
From the east
From Plumstead Bridge (Plumstead railway station on the left) (A206) take the right hand lane and follow the road (Pettman Crescent) around Plumstead Bus garage. Take the first left into Tom Cribb Road.
Follow the road and go straight across a small round-a-bout and continue into the Royal Arsenal Site. Follow Duke of Wellington Avenue to the junction of Arsenal Way and turn left into Arsenal Way. Turn right into the Town Centre car park (pay and display).
Walking from the Town Centre car park
From the car park, use the footpath at the end of the car park past Berkeley Homes Sales and Marketing Suite and turn right down No. 1 Street towards the river. The main entrance to the Heritage Centre is in the far corner of Artillery Square on the left (about five minutes' walk).

Disabled Parking
Go to the main entrance on Plumstead Road as above and take Arsenal Way to the junction with Duke of Wellington Avenue. Turn left into Duke of Wellington Avenue and follow the road until you reach the barrier at the junction with Cartridge Place. Turn right towards the river.
At the barrier press the button for assistance and ask to be let through to the disabled parking for the Heritage Centre. Once through the barrier bear to the left past James Clavell Square then right into No. 1 Street.
Turn left at the end and then left again by the side of the Heritage Centre building. The disabled parking bays are about 100m further up on the right. The Heritage Centre main entrance is at the front of the building on the left past the flower beds.
Please note blue disabled badges must be displayed otherwise the vehicle will be clamped.
Additional disabled spaces are located on the corner of No. 1 Street and Artillery Square, opposite Firepower museum.
Motorcycle Parking
Motorcycles may park in the Museum Visitor car park or a dedicated area for motorcycle parking east of the Firepower building, off Cartridge Place to the rear of Building 19A.
By foot from Woolwich Arsenal Station
Turn right out of the station and follow Woolwich New Road to Plumstead Road (signs for Firepower and Heritage Centre). Cross by the pedestrian crossing, go through the gate to the Royal Arsenal and follow No. 1 Street towards the river.
The Heritage centre is on the left in the far corner of Artillery Square.
