There is a range of local authority records that can be helpful for family history research. The Heritage Centre holds many of them, and can assist you with advice and information about how to access others.

Local authority records include:

  • Apprentices’ records
  • Churchwardens’ accounts
  • Overseers’ accounts
  • Vestry minutes
  • Settlement records
  • Parish rates
