The Greenwich Festivals
Greenwich Film Festival
The Greenwich Film Festival ran from 15 to 18 July and showcased a host of indoor and outdoor film screenings at exciting venues across the borough.
Viewers experienced the magic of film and were transported to other times and places - from futuristic science-fiction visions to the nostalgia of period drama.

Encounters at the End of the World
Grease
Kings
Sense and Sensibility
Skeletons
Up
Wall - E
The programme included Film Fridays - exciting outdoor film showings on the Big Screen at General Gordon Square in Woolwich.
There was also a full-size 'drive in' screening of Grease in Avery Hill Park, complete with a rock 'n' roll dance and a classic car display.
Children and young people and took part in Family Film Day at Firepower and the Heritage Centre on Saturday 17 July.
There were also film shows at the Greenwich Picturehouse, the Planetarium and other exciting venues around the borough.
Self-made films
Filmmakers took part in Film Challenge, a competition for short films that offered an imaginative view of the past, present or future in Greenwich.
