Tudor Barn

The 16th century Tudor Barn, now a pub and restaurant The 16th century Tudor Barn, now a pub and restaurant
The Tudor Barn is all that remains of the 11th century country mansion that was built for Sir Thomas More's daughter Meg.

The 16th century building has been charmingly restored and is today available for hire and open as a tea room from Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.
The tranquil grounds, known as Well Hall Pleasaunce, contain a medieval moat and a scented garden.

Did you know?

Edith Nesbitt, the popular children's author, lived in the barn for a time as Mrs Bland, with her husband Hubert.
