The 16th century Tudor Barn, now a tea room
The Tudor Barn is all that remains of the 11th century country mansion that was built for Sir Thomas More's daughter Meg.
The 16th century building has been charmingly restored.
The tranquil grounds, known as Well Hall Pleasaunce, contain a medieval moat and a scented garden.
Tudor Barn is now taking bookings for the Gallery Hall from September 2009.
We would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in hosting their wedding reception, private event, conference or meeting within our event space which can cater for up to 200 people.
Tudor Barn can also provide marquee spaces for larger capacity events along with private hire of the Moat Terrace and the downstairs Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms.

Edith Nesbit, author of "The Railway Children", lived in a house in the grounds of what became Well Hall Pleasaunce from 1899 to 1921.
