The Queen's House
The Queen's House was designed by Inigo Jones in 1616, introducing Palladian architecture to England. It is admired for its Great Hall and Tulip Staircase. The house was given by Charles I to his French wife Henrietta Maria in 1635.
Art exhibition
The Queen's House is now part of the National Maritime Museum. It is home to 'Art for the Nation', a major exhibition that brings together 200 of the museum's finest works of art.
The collection includes paintings by Gainsborough, Hogarth and Reynolds.
