Friends of Charlton House

If you are interested in becoming active at events, including fundraising, volunteering and promoting the House within the local community, you can join the Friends of Charlton House.

Founded in 2003, the Friends of Charlton House regularly host events with the aim of fundraising and raising the profile of the beautiful Grade 1-listed Jacobean manor house.

Events so far have included guided tours, illustrated talks, a children's Christmas party and – not for the faint hearted – a number of successful ghost vigils!

During 2005 the Friends held a bulb planting day in the grounds of Charlton House, and a host of beautiful crocuses and daffodils were enjoyed by visitors during Spring 2006.

The Friends also become involved in volunteering activities and often support events held at Charlton House such as the Horn Fayre, the Christmas carol concert and Open House weekend.
