Brain food
What you eat can affect your energy levels and your ability to concentrate. You can look after your brain by feeding it well.
Fish
A regular portion of fish in the diet is proven to increase levels of concentration and intelligence – perfect for revision and exam time.
Breakfast
Eating breakfast is one of the best things to do to give the brain a boost. Cereals are full of B vitamins which help give a dose of energy, which will help the day get off to a good start.
Iron
Not getting enough iron will damage the ability to concentrate for long periods of time and energy levels will drop. Eating more red meat, eggs and leafy green veg will help.
An apple a day
We all know it is important to eat five portions of fruit and veg a day to keep healthy, doing this also stops brain cells getting damaged! If you find this hard try, substituting fizzy drinks for fruit juice or crisps for an apple or banana.
