Whether you're looking for private, public, part-time or full-time childcare, Greenwich has a wide range of services for you to choose from.

Nurseries include:

  • Council-run nurseries
  • private and independent nurseries
  • playgroups
  • early learning and children's centres.
You may also want to ask your employer if there is a crèche where you work.

Ofsted registered

Check that the childcare service you're interested in is registered with Ofsted before you accept a place for your child. Council-run and private nurseries, playgroups, childminders, nurseries, out-of-school playgroups and other schemes for children under eight, and operating over two hours a day, should be registered and inspected by Ofsted.

Ofsted inspects these day care services about once a year and staff are checked by the police.

Children's Services Directory
