Schools in Greenwich have access to a range of services which can be used to help meet the needs of children with special educational needs.
All schools have an educational psychologist who can undertake assessments of a child's difficulties and give advice on strategies to use with the child.
There is also a speech therapy service which provides advice on children who have speech and language difficulties and training for staff, if required.
Schools may also request support from:
- Advisory Service for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Outreach Service
- Behaviour Intervention Service (secondary schools)
- Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Services
- SENCO Support Project
- Sense in Greenwich
- Specific Learning Difficulties Team
- Vision Impairment Service
- Waterside School (for behaviour difficulties in primary school).
