Occasionally, parents or carers ask to transfer their child from one school to another for educational or other reasons. If you wish to move your child to a Greenwich school, you should first consult the headteacher of your child’s current school to establish whether a change of school is in your child’s best interests.
If, after full consultation with the headteacher, you wish to transfer your child to a community school, you should contact the Admissions Section using the details on the right. We will be able to advise you if any schools have vacancies in the relevant year group.
Transfer from community schools to foundation or voluntary aided schools will be a matter for the governors of the preferred school.
