Admission information

Where there are more applicants for places than the number of places available, places will be offered according to the following order of priority:

  1. a. Children with a formal statement of special educational need which indicates that the school would be particularly suitable in meeting their needs
    b. Children in public care (looked after) whose carer specifies a wish for a Church of England school where the carer lives within a one mile radius of the school
    c. In exceptional circumstances the governors reserve the right to admit children with other specific educational, medical or social needs who they believe would benefit from a place in the school and for whom facilities exist. Documentary evidence from the appropriate professional must be provided
  2. Priority is given to the families of applicants who are regular and committed members of Christ Church. In the event of there being more applicants than there are places coming into this category, the safest walking distance, lit by street lamps, from the school gate to the child's home is measured; those closest are given priority
  3. Children with siblings currently attending the school when the child enters Reception. In the event of there being more applicants than there are places coming into this category, the safest walking distance, lit by street lamps, from the school gate to the child's home is measured, those closest are given priority
  4. For those who do not qualify under the above criteria, places will offered by the safest walking distance, lit by street lamps, from the school gate to the child's home, those living closest are given priority.
You have the right to appeal if your child is not offered a place. Details are available direct from the school.

If you are applying for a reception place you must complete the local authority Common Application Form (CAF) as well as the school's own supplementary form. See School admissions for more.
