How to join

Anyone who lives, works or studies in a London borough is welcome to join Greenwich library services.

To get a card

You can join at any library in the borough. Once you have joined, you will get a library card which can be used in all libraries.

See Find a library for the addresses, opening times and phone numbers of each library.

You must fill in a membership application form and show two official documents that between them show your full name and current address. If you are 15 years old or under, a parent, guardian or teacher must act as guarantor, bringing proof of identity.

At Eltham and Plumstead libraries, you can ask for a Smartcard. You can use the Smartcard at both libraries and also for travel using the Oyster card system.

  • eight books or talking books
