Joining and using our libraries
How to join
Anyone who lives, works or studies in a London borough is welcome to join Greenwich library services.
To get a card
You can join at any library in the borough. Once you have joined, you will get a library card which can be used in all libraries.

for the addresses, opening times and phone numbers of each library.
You must fill in a membership application form and show two official documents that between them show your full name and current address. If you are 15 years old or under, a parent, guardian or teacher must act as guarantor, bringing proof of identity.
At Eltham and Plumstead libraries, you can ask for a
Smartcard
. You can use the Smartcard at both libraries and also for travel using the Oyster card system.
What you can borrow?
Adults and children can borrow:
eight books or talking books
five CDs
five DVDs
three PlayStation games.
Borrowing time
Books:
Three weeks
Videos and DVDs:
One week
PlayStation games:
