Free books for schools
The Times and Sunday Times popular Books for Schools campaign is back. It offers every primary and secondary school in the country the chance to increase the number of books in its library – with no cost to them.
From January 2009, readers of The Times and The Sunday Times can collect tokens that can be exchanged for free books. There will be one token printed every day during each of the three school terms.
With books available for as little as ten tokens, schools will soon benefit from hundreds of free books.
Which books are on offer?
There are books for all ages by well-known children's writers, such as:
Michael Rosen
Charlie Higson
Axel Scheffler
Jacqueline Wilson
Anthony Horowitz
Michael Morpurgo.
Also much-loved classics by:
C.S Lewis
Roald Dahl.
