A-level results day was a time for celebration for many pupils in Greenwich.
With an overall pass rate of 96.4%, a number of pupils achieved excellent results and are now preparing to attend some of the most prestigious universities in the country.
The many success stories include:

Anuj Shrestha from Thomas Tallis - 3 As and 1 B. He came to the UK 18 months ago with English as a second language. He is going to Kings College London to study Mathematics.

John Lacey from Plumstead Manor gained 4 As, all A grade.
John is going on to Cambridge University to study Natural Sciences.

Champ-Paul Akewanu from Blackheath Bluecoat CE got 4 A-levels and 1 AS-level.
Paul is going to Durham University to study Accountancy and Finance.

- Daniel Obute from Crown Woods School who is going to Cambridge University to study Medicine.
- Emmanuel Adeh from Thomas Tallis - 3 As - going to Ravensbourne College to study Computer Visualisation.
Kidbrooke school
Success stories from Kidbrooke included:
- Chang Wen AAAB(B) – Maths (A), Physics (A), Sociology (A), Chinese (B), Further Maths AS (B) – going to Imperial College to study Computing.
- Gayashan Walauwatte AAA(C) – Maths (A), Physics (A), Computing (A), Chemistry AS (C) – going to Imperial College to study Aeronautical Engineering.
- Daniel Richardson AAB(B) – Maths (A), Biology (A), Chemistry (B), Computing AS (B) – going to Queen Mary College to study medicine.

Post-16 Gplus Centres
More young people than ever before are continuing their further education in the borough and Greenwich’s post-16 Gplus Centres. The numbers attending have risen by over 90% in recent years.
