FAQ
I have a disabled child. What learning opportunities are there for him/her?
To support the education of children with disabilities, we provide a number of childcare, early years and out-of-school services.
Greenwich Children’s Information Service is also developing a resource of information to support families with a child with a disability or special needs. This includes information about childcare and early years activities, and family support services for the child and their family.
A network of registered childminders is currently being set up in Greenwich to support families with a child with a disability or special needs. These childminders will be assessed, selected, trained and given ongoing support by the Network Coordinator. Children and their families will be matched to the most suitable and experienced childminder.
For more information, please see the
special learning needs
section.
