Lodgers and sub-letting

 
If you are a secure tenant you have the right to:

  • take in lodgers
  • sub-let part of your home
If you want to sub-let, you must first get written permission from the Council, we will only refuse if we have good reason.

You cannot sub-let the whole of your home.

How do I get permission?

Speak to a member of staff at your local Neighbourhood Housing Office.
