Paying your rent
The Council doesn’t mind if you pay your rent weekly, fortnightly or monthly, but you must pay your rent in advance.
Monthly payments are calculated by multiplying your weekly rent by 52 weeks and dividing by 12 equal payments.
Charges for communal heating are divided among all residents and this cost is added to your rent account.
You can pay your rent in the following ways:
Online
- by credit or debit card
By telephone - automated telephone payments service on 0845 6032864.
At a Post office, PayZone or PayPoint outlet using your
payment card
Via a bank standing order
At our
Council cash offices
By cheque - send your payment to: Greenwich Council, PO Box 44888, SE18 6US. Remember to write your name, address and housing reference number on the back of the cheque.
