Help with odd jobs at home

 
Need some help doing jobs around your home? Contact the Greenwich Handyperson Scheme. The scheme provides help for the elderly and disabled - doing essential jobs around the house so you don’t have to.

Who can get help?

The service is available to private home owners and Council tenants aged 60 or over, and to people who have a disability.

What can I get help with?

We can help you with tasks like:

  • rearranging rooms and furniture
  • mattress turning
  • changing light bulbs
  • unblocking sinks
  • taping down carpets
  • repairing gates
  • minor plumbing jobs.
The Handyperson Scheme can also carry out Home Fire Safety Checks and install smoke detectors on behalf of the London Fire Brigade.

How much does it cost?

The scheme is free of charge for those that are in receipt of Means Tested Benefits, Attendance Allowance or Disability Living Allowance.
