Making a complaint
Housing ombudsman
If you have followed the complaints procedure, and you are still not satisfied, you may contact an Ombudsman. There are two separate Ombudsmans that deal with housing:
If your complaint is about council housing you can contact the
Local Government Ombudsman
for advice on resolving your complaint.
If your complaint is about Housing Associations, housing companies and some other private landlords and you have also discussed your complaint with the Supporting People team, you can contact the Independent Housing Ombudsman who does not deal with complaints about council housing:
