Tenants and residents groups
A tenant or residents group is a group of people who have got together from an area, estate, block or community to discuss how they can tackle issues that affect them and their community.
We offer support to all residents' groups in the borough, helping them to build skills and confidence to enable them to be more meaningfully involved. The following financial help is available:
Group start-up grants
Annual grants to cover running costs
Community events grant
Baby sitting and carers allowance
Travel expenses.
In order to be able to claim financial support, your group must first be registered with the Council to ensure that it meets the criteria for it to be fully inclusive and democratic for those it represents.
If you would like more information, you can contact the Community Participation and Diversity Team using the details on the right.
