Non-council tenants can be excluded from the register for anti-social behaviour such as harassment or causing a nuisance, or if they have a history of high rent arrears. People who make fraudulent applications will also be excluded.
Suspensions
If you are already a council tenant, you can be suspended from the register for up to 12 months for anti-social behaviour, such as harassment or causing a nuisance, or where you have a history of high rent arrears.
You will also be suspended for 12 months if you refuse a suitable offer of accommodation.
If we decide to exclude or suspend you from the register, we will tell you in writing. If you disagree with the decision, you can ask for a review. We will then give you more information about the review procedure.
If you are not sure whether you are in any of these groups, please contact Community Housing Services or your local neighbourhood office for advice.
Help can be given in completing these forms if you have any difficulties in reading or writing or if your first language is not English.
