What is Greenwich Homes?

Looking for a home? Our choice-based lettings scheme allows you to search and apply for a Council property online.

Step 1 - register for a home

The first thing you need to do is register for a home by joining the Council waiting list.

Once registered, you will be sent an applicant number and told which housing band you fit into.

Step 2 - search for a property

Once you have an applicant number you can start looking for a suitable property.

View the Greenwich Homes property adverts online.

If you prefer a paper copy, you can find advertisements in Greenwich Time on the weeks it is published. At other times you can collect a copy of the latest advertisements from one of the pick-up points across the borough.

Advertising schedule

Homes are advertised once a week, new advertisements usually appear on a Wednesday. You then have 5 days to register your interest in the homes that you would like.

You can apply for property online or by phone. You can apply for as many properties as you like, so long as you meet the conditions of the advertisement.

(Note: If you find a property that you like in the property adverts, please make sure that you only make a bid if you are genuinely interested in that property.

If your bid is successful but you fail to attend your arranged viewing, your priority could be removed or your application suspended).
