FAQ
Who values my home if I want to buy it?
Your landlord has to value your home - ie. the Council or your housing association.
If you think your landlord has valued your home too highly, you have the right to an independent valuation from the District Valuer. However, you have to accept this valuation, even if it is higher than the landlord’s.
Full information can be found in the
right to buy process
