Visiting our offices
When you visit our offices we will:
Provide up-to-date information about the service in plain language and in various formats.
Provide services that are accessible to wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility or with sensory impairment.
Provide a free internal telephone for you to contact other Council services.
Wear name badges.
Make a private interviewing room available.
Provide a comfortable and clean seating area.
Speak to you within 5 minutes of your arrival, if you don’t have a booked appointment.
See you within 5 minutes of your booked appointment time, and inform you of any delay.
On request, arrange for you to be interviewed by someone of the same sex.
Give you a written summary of your query and the advice we give you, or action we agree with you. We will include the name of the person you spoke to and the date.
Provide a room for breastfeeding mothers, and provide baby changing facilities.
