Where to go for advice and support
If you need advice with housing issues, there are a number of places you can go for help.
Housing Aid Centre
The Housing Aid Centre offers help with resolving housing problems and disputes. Help is available to both private and council tenants and to homeowners. Advice is also available to those seeking private rented accommodation.
Housing Needs Unit
The Housing Needs Unit offer a service to the homeless and those who need to be rehoused.
Neighbourhood Housing Offices
Neighbourhood Offices assist with tenancy issues. You can also register for a council property here and make payments for rent, council tax etc.
Legal advice
There are a number of independent agencies who an offer you
legal advice
on housing issues.
Supporting People
The
Supporting People
project funds extra support for people with special housing needs. For example older people, people with learning difficulties etc. This can include help with finding accommodation, settling in and learning life skills.
