Transport for the disabled
“Because I am in a wheelchair, I find it very hard to get about. Now I’ve had my mobility assessment, I can use Dial-a-Ride and Taxicard, which means I can get to the shops and visit friends and don’t feel a nuisance.”
Don't miss out!
Don’t miss out on the services that are available to you if you have a mobility problem or are confined to a wheelchair.
Talk to the Mobility Team (see right) about your situation. If you need one, we will organise a mobility assessment or a note from your doctor to support your application.
What help can I get?

Proof of disability
Disabled people no longer have to register and do not need a green card to prove they are disabled.
To have rights under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, a disabled person has only to show that he or she meets the definition of disability.
If you need proof of your disability to be exempt from paying VAT when purchasing equipment for health purposes, please contact us on 020 8921 2388. We will send a form within one working day.
