Training courses
Greenwich Community College
runs an introductory course for visually impaired people on using specialist computer software to make studying easier.
The course teaches people how to use a computer with screen magnification, or a voice programme that acts as a screen reader.
People are also shown how to use adapted keyboard controls rather than a mouse.
After finishing the enabling technologies course, people are encouraged to study further. Assistance can often be provided by the college to make it possible for visually impaired people to study.
The RNIB also offers training and study information for people with visual impairments. Find out more using the link on the right.
