Coping with mental health illness

 
If you are think you are experiencing mental illness, the first step is to visit your GP.

You will then be referred to the Oxleas Trust who will arrange for you to see a psychiatrist.

Once your problem has been diagnosed, a care programme will be developed based on your needs.

Anyone needing telephone counselling can get help by calling Careline on 0845 122 8622.

This service is available on weekdays from 10am to 4pm and 7pm to 10pm. You can find out more by visiting the Careline website in the Useful links menu to the right. 

Greenwich MIND also offers a telephone counselling service on weekdays from 10am to 5pm. Their phone number is 020 8853 1735.

Vulnerable adults

A vulnerable adult is someone who is over the age of 18 and may have trouble protecting themselves against abuse or injury, because of illness or disability.
