How we can help

We can offer advice on how to prevent notifiable and communicable diseases from spreading. Communicable diseases are usually diseases of an infectious nature that must be reported to a health officer or local government authority by law.
If you suspect an infectious disease it is important to find out what to do. If needed, we will go on to investigate known cases of such diseases, in partnership with other agencies.

Literature and  information is available from the Infectious and Communicable Diseases Department, which you can contact using the email address and telephone number in the right-hand menu on this page.
