Help at home
If you have HIV or AIDS and want to carry on living independently in your home, the Council's Disability Team may be able to help you.
Our Disability Team can arrange for you to have a community care assessment, with a view to helping you with any of the following services:
meals on wheels
day centre services
home care services
direct payments
physical adaptations to your home
You can read more about the services that are available and the assessment process in our
Community Care
section.
We can also give you help and support if you are a carer for someone who has HIV or AIDS. See the
Carer's section
for details.
Assistance is also available from the
Protection Team
which can assist with looking after pets and property if an individual is placed in hospital or care and can also help with management of financial affairs.
