Equipment and home adaptations
If you are a disabled person, the Council can help you choose, obtain and use equipment and adaptations for your home.
We have a specially trained occupational therapy team who can help you choose, obtain and use both equipment and adaptations to your home.
Getting the right equipment
We will
assess your needs
to determine what equipment you need.
Once we have determined which equipment you need, we will loan it to you for as long as you need it.
We aim to deliver your equipment within seven working days. We can advise you on fitting and using your equipment.
Home adaptations
We may recommend adaptations to your home - such as fitting support rails in the bathroom - and where appropriate make arrangements for the adaptation to be carried out.
For enquiries or details on how to obtain equipment and home adaptations, please see our
how to apply
page.
