The Council will provide a basic funeral service to someone who dies within the Borough with no finances.
This does not mean that the service lacks the dignity of a normal funeral. The service is the same as you would receive from any undertaker.
Our only restriction is that we cannot provide a burial into a new private grave, burials have to take place in a common grave.
The service provided at the crematorium is exactly the same as a normal funeral.
