FAQ
What is community care?
Community care is a method of providing services to people who are ill or physically or mentally impaired to allow them to stay in their own homes as long as they are able, or in other settings in the community such as residential homes.
This term can also incorporate a range of treatments provided in the community such as health visiting and district nursing.
You can visit
our community care pages
for more information about getting an assessment for community care, or contact our Adults and Older People's Directorate using the contact information in the menu to the right.
